Red, White, Blue and Green?
My plan was to have this week's blog posts all centered around red, white, and blue but you know me...things can change fast around here as inspiration strikes. I hope your Fourth of July was fabulous; ours was a little less than traditional. Instead of having to a cookout, we headed to the mall yesterday. Our 1940s house does not have air conditioning and we all just wanted to be somewhere cool. It was great because hardly anyone was there. Whenever we "head to town", which is small town speak for visiting the larger town about half hour away, we take the opportunity to do a little thrifting. Our teenage boys were less than thrilled with the idea of going to Goodwill so they hung out at Barnes and Noble while Mr. Upscale and I were on the hunt for deals. I have never found any good furniture at our Goodwill but yesterday was an exception. Look what I scored for $6.99...

I'm digging this antiqued avocado green finish which I'm sure was done in the 1970s. It's super sturdy but does need new casters.

How about these legs? Oooola la!

I'm going to use it in my studio for sewing and crafting and keeping the forgeous green. The drop leaf is perfect for my small space. I am also in the process of helping my sister plan her 25th wedding anniversary party and this little guy might just make it to into the plan.

Such a great green find! We had a fun day! My parents came up for lunch and we went to our favorite local park to watch fireworks last night!
