Giving An Old Lady A New Look

A face is like the outside of a house, and most faces, like most houses, give us an idea of what we can expect to find inside.

Loretta Young

Do you remember a while ago when I shared a post about an old house in our neighborhood that was in desperate need of some love? Well, glory be, someone is bringing the old girl back to her former glory. She's still a work in progress but it makes me so happy someone is saving this historic home.

She's gotten new windows, a new roof, a paint job and some landscaping. I personally don't care for how they did the top porch, the addition of these posts out front, or the color combination but that's just me. Thankfully, someone saw the potential is giving this beautiful home a new lease on life. It's my goal someday to get some pictures of the inside because the woodwork is absolutely amazing. (I know because I peeked in the window. You would, too, wouldn't you?)

A house is not a home unless it contains food and fire for the mind as well as the body.

Benjamin Franklin
