Blankets, Bulbs and Bucks

Hope you had a great weekend. It turned a bit cold here and I couldn't help but think of friends on the East Coast without power and what they must be going through after Hurricane Sandy.  I spent time shopping a couple of estate sales and working on projects around the house. Here's a sampling of  some of my finds...
Two vintage military blankets with a black stripe. I can't wait to show you what I'm going to do with them!

A twin size wool blanket in a camel color with a brown stripe on each end. It's blanket stitched all around the edge and in wonderful condition. It would look fabulous at the end of someone's bed.

One sale was a Christmas sale of a life long collector...these were her cast offs but they are wonderful to me.

Of course I picked up a few more antlers...that I had to give the Upscale Downhome touch.

I might be taking the antler thing a little too far because I could not resist this guy...

Isn't he festive?
