Window Treatment Wednesday--Bathroom Curtains
Welcome to Window Treatment Wednesday--a weekly blog post where I share out of the box ideas and inspiration for your window treatments. Today's post features the loo, the john, the powder room...aka the bathroom. I have a small powder room on the first floor of my house that still has its original pink tiles from 1940 and it also has a small skinny window. For the past six years, I have just covered the window with a simple white curtain with a rod at both ends that serves privacy purposes but has no real style. A few weeks ago, I saw this picture on Pinterest and it's making me rethink my basic window treatment.
Until I saw this picture, I had never considered a long curtain in the bathroom. Because I live in a house of boys and men, I had only thought about using a short window treatment like this one for practical reasons. But, this is the guest bathroom so I think it will work.
So I went in search of long bathroom curtains and found some more inspiration...

Granted none of them are next to a toilet like mine would be but I think if I keep the length similar to the first inspiration picture I will be alright. It's going to be my project in the upcoming weeks so I will keep you posted on my design.

If I want to be alone, some place I can write, I can read, I can pray, I can cry, I can do whatever I want---I go to the bathroom.

Do you have a long curtain in any of your bathrooms?

I really like the idea of curtains in the bathroom. Usually I avoid houses with windows in the bathroom, so I don't have this dilemma, but now that you've given me so many great ideas on how to solve it, maybe I can find a design solution after all!
