Silhouette Ornaments
Finally a design for all you neutral lovers out there! Last year I made mini jewelry wreaths using vintage curtain rings. I happened to still have some rings on hand and challenged myself to create something different for this holiday season. I absolutely adore any kind of silhouette and cameo and I went looking
for some type of silhouette ornament. I couldn't find any that I liked
so I decided to create my own.

I started by printing off silhouettes of Santa and his reindeer that I purchased off of Etsy. I printed them on the pages of a vintage German grammar book from 1915. The fonts are so cool and let's face it...the Germans know how to celebrate Christmas. I believe they started the whole Christmas tree tradition that the rest of us use.

I painted the vintage wooden curtain rings a creamy white color and then added a ring of gold and two coats of coarse glitter.

I topped it off with a wonderful cream and black ribbon so these are perfect for hanging on your tree or to use as a gift tag.

The real ornament of a woman is her character, her purity.

These ornaments are so beautiful! I love how you printed the silhouettes on vintage paper, instead of cutting and pasting. So much easier! It is such fantastic inspiration.
