Winter White Centerpiece

I wanted to have my whole house decorated for Christmas this weekend but that did not happen. Hello real life! I had to spend quite a bit of time cleaning because of all the antler crafting I've been doing lately. It had kind of taken over the dining room. I did manage to clear the table off and make a cute and quick centerpiece.

I started with a creamy white cashmere throw in lieu of a tablecloth. I didn't even take out my Christmas decorations yet. It's filled with items I happened upon this past weekend and somehow they all came together.
I found a whole bag of natural colored crochet thread at an antique store; I could just picture it filling up a bowl or box for the perfect photo op, so it came home with me. Somehow putting it under a cloche elevates it and makes it really special. I think cloches work that magic on just about any common object.

I shared this antique alabaster urn with you several weeks ago but it's another perfectly creamy white addition. I filled it with some holiday greens but may add some interesting sticks to it for contrast.

I found the vintage flocked deer at the antique store for only $1 a piece and the gold metal pine cones were at Goodwill for $6.

I'm striving to keep the holidays stress free and simple this year. I may only do one tree instead of my usual three. So this centerpiece definitely fits the bill.

I used to be Snow White but I drifted.

The white crochet spools are such a beautiful idea. I love the vintage look of the spools. It makes me think that you can really gather any collection of white objects and assemble them together for a tablescape. Beautiful idea!
