Window Treatment Wednesday---Lego Curtain Tie Back
Welcome to Window Treatment Wednesday--a weekly blog post where I share out of the box ideas and inspiration for your window treatments. As a mother of three sons I've stepped on my share of Legos in the night. When my boys were young I used to try and organize them by keeping every set in a plastic bag with the directions but I soon learned the fun of Legos is that you get to be creative and design anything you want. So then I resorted to letting our Legos be mixed up in several large baskets. Even though my boys are now in college and high school, I can not part with their Lego baskets; I plan on keeping them for my grandchildren to play with and create! Another dilemma moms of boys face is difficulty in finding fun and boyish decorating ideas. The Lego Curtain Tie Back is a quick and easy way to add a fun touch to any Lego lover's room. It can be a rotating display of your child's imagination. What a fun way to decorate your space!

Materials Needed:
A Set of Curtain Tie Backs--I purchased mine at a local big box store and removed the finials. Mine are black but it would be really fun to spray paint them a bright Lego color. They also come with the mounting hardware to make life simple.
2.5 inch Lego Square--I used two thin ones and put them together
Legos---assorted colors and sizes
4 Neodymium Rare Earth Magnets---you want your magnets to be opposing---you'll put the South pole on the Lego square the opposing North pole magnet on the metal tie back holder.
Craft Glue---I highly recommend E6000, my craft glue of choice for all projects.

Step 3: Create!

I'd love to see the designs you and your little Lego lovers make!
Size doesn't matter. When stepped on in the dark, a 2X2 LEGO brick causes the same amount of pain as a 2X8 brick.
